Join the Wellness Center as we take a deeper look at stress on the body and how we can take charge of our health. By learning to properly manage our own stress levels, we then have the foundation to overflow with confidence and peace into the lives of those around us.
Angela Gilmour, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, will help you explore the root causes of stress, as well as strategies that genuinely work to remove/reduce them. We will discuss the latest research as well as practice with clinically proven tools that you can take home to use again and again.
Elizabeth Owens, Certified Nutrition Specialist practitioner, will share with you how chronic stress impacts your hormones, alters your gut microbiome and contributes to inflammation and disease. You will gain a better understanding of how your body works in response to its environment, as well as a list of foods to eat and avoid to support a healthy stress response!
Certified Aromatherapist, Ginger Mickelson, will share how you can use aromatherapy safely to respond rather than react emotionally, using both single oils and her unique blends. Did you know essential oils can change your brain chemistry in 1/10th of a second? When properly used, essential oils can be a natural, safe way to alter your emotional and physiological response to stress, enabling you to live a more balanced life.
