Laura Cromartie, LMT Laura has explored many areas of life but always there has been an emphasis on vitality, health and exploring and developing human potential. Early experiences as a gymnast and swimmer living in Hawaii to adult experiences with radically changing diets and seeking optimal environments have continued to shape her feelings of what is health and what it means to be human. The opportunity to move into massage afforded Laura to directly affect people in the healthful ways she so values. An athlete herself and one who had sustained and overcome injuries gave her direct experience and great interest in healing the body. Laura is open to learning forever. Her massage explorations have sent her certifying in neuromuscular techniques, soft tissue release, infant massage teacher training, while also continuing to explore compensation patterns, fascia, energy healing and kinesio taping. Ultimately she strives to distill what she learns into a truly relaxing and nourishing massage. |
Emily WattsSpecializing in medical, lymphatic, pre & postnatal, massage.

Emily Watts, LMT Emily is a treasure chest of knowledge, compassion, and tremendous skill. She is certified in Prenatal, Postnatal, and Fertility Massage. Her passion is to provide comfort and education in many things related to pregnancy and childbirth. She is also a strong believer in “mothering the mother” and is currently working toward becoming a certified doula. Emily can take care of you through pregnancy and beyond! In addition, Emily is a certified Medical Massage Practitioner. This type of massage is done with the intent of improving diagnosed medical conditions or pathologies. Some examples of health conditions that may benefit from medical massage are: frozen shoulder, whiplash, sciatica, tailbone injury, various kinds of neuropathy, headaches, low back and neck, amongst many others. Medical Massage is outcome oriented and therefore targets each client's specific needs and affected areas of pain and dysfunction, rather than following a set protocol. This type of massage uses a non impact, low force, soft tissue manipulation which is particularly beneficial to help restore better movement and address chronic pain, while still providing relaxation with a therapeutic outcome. As if all that wasn’t enough, Emily also strives to keep up to date with new techniques that can be combined with massage therapy. For example, she is proficient in gua sha, TMJ relief, cupping, and lymphatic drainage. All of these can be added on to any massage she provides. If you don’t know what these services entail, please ask her. She is always willing to discuss how she can help you on your path to wellness. |
Jeffrey FischerSpecializing in trigger point therapy, neuromuscular release & sports massage.
Read Jeff's bio here
Jeffrey Fischer, LMT Jeff comes to us all the way from California with over 23 years of experience working as a massage therapist! He discovered the benefits of sports massage while receiving bodywork as a distance runner at Stanford University, and has spent his career paying forward the restorative healing he experienced as a client. Originally trained in trigger point therapy, Jeff has expanded his practice over the last 20 years, studying modalities including active release technique, myofascial release and neuromuscular facilitation. A deep mindfulness practice combined with his growing skillset helped Jeff understand that bodywork is not just working on physical tissue, but a project of unlocking our body’s inner healing wisdom for a better quality of life. He views his clients as partners in optimizing their performance, recovery and well-being. Since his days as a competitive runner, Jeff continued to find fulfillment in an active lifestyle, including hiking, climbing, running, basketball as well as skiing in the mountains and surfing the shores of California. His appreciation of an active lifestyle also led him to work with the Stanford swim team as a competition massage therapist for the last 18 years. He is happy to find like-minded community after his move to Northern Virginia and he looks forward to continue his learning and healing journey. |
