deep tissue therapeutic massage
This is a results oriented treatment. Ideal for those suffering from chronic and acute pain including low back, neck, shoulder, and headaches. Each session begins with a postural analysis to determine areas of imbalance and may include additional range of motion and orthopedic testing. Use of firm pressure, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques (resisted pressure), stretching, and movement may be used to focus on areas of pain and tightness. Most often the client is involved in actively moving at various times to retrain the neuromuscular connections, and gain a greater release of tissues and stubborn pain patterns. The results are pain relief, increased mobility, and a more balanced posture.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Offered exclusively by Heidi Viveiros Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Each Myofascial Release Treatment session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams, or machinery. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.
Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)'* Find out more about this service on our Myofascial Release page
Initial Session, $145 Initial session includes a discussion of your health history and past traumas, a postural evaluation, range of motion testing, hands-on assessment of myofascial restrictions prior to start of therapy.
